Paulette and Nick are hosting a weekday lunch run to Gar Woods Restaurant in North Shore Tahoe.
Date: Thursday, May 21
Where: Meet at Cameron Park Safeway at 8:00 for an 8:30 departure
Route: Eastbound US 50 to South Lake Tahoe, where we will stop for gas/bathroom break
From there, we will head north along Highway 89, past Richardson Bay, around the always beautiful Emerald Bay, arriving at Gar Woods at 11:00. The parking lot is not private, so it can’t be reserved. Management tells me we will have no issues with parking if we arrive by 11:00, but we will be limited to 20 cars for this run, so please let me know if you would like to sign up.
For a group this size, they wanted me to sign a contract, and we would have to order off a limited menu and make one payment for the entire thing, but I was able to convince them to let us order anything from the menu, with one check for each table of six guests.
Gar Woods is rated the top restaurant in all of Lake Tahoe. We should have a wonderful day!
